My name is Ingibjörg Naomi Friðþjófsdóttir. I'm an Icelandic author. I was raised in Isafjordur a small town on the west side of Iceland with my two older sisters. My mother worked in a nursing home for most of her live, and my father was a fisherman on an Ice fishing trawler. I started writing short stories when I was a young girl, and as it was a custom in my hometown, I began working in one of the fish factories when I was fourteen years old and while I was working I let my mind wander and used my time to find up plots for my stories. I was in my teens when I started traveling around Europe, and it was on one of those trips that I discovered a whole new range of books and after that, there was no turning back, I fell in love with the literary world. After I had my children, I didn’t have much time to write, juggling with raising my four children I used my spare time reading instead whenever I could.

It wasn't until late 2009  after I was in a car accident and couldn’t do much else than read that my son told me that since I had already read all of the books I was interested in at the town's library and didn't have anything else to read, I should start writing my own books again. I thought about it, and when I started writing, I couldn't stop. Thus, it resulted "Prophecy"  the first book in WSI series of paranormal/supernatural fiction. At first, I was very rusty at it. I think I change the beginning at least 100 times, and while it took me four years with lots of long breaks to write my first novel. I moved to the south side of Iceland, a small town named Sandgerdi. It's about 10 minutes drive from Keflavik International Airport and 45 minutes from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. That gave me a new inspiration, and I finally finished it, I had to translate it over to English and that took me few weeks. I kept adding to it since it was easier to describe some things in English. I don't think I need to admit this, but I had a wonderful friend, Lisa Schmidt help me edit the first manuscript of Prophecy, and I was still adding to it the day I sent it to the publishers, and now that book has finally been published.

The next book I wrote was Girl Called She written and posted at Wattpad while I waited for Prophecy to go through the publishing process. I wanted to find out if people would like my writing and read it. I have to say I'm very happy with my result. I have amazing followers, they give me great comments and always manage to cheer me up. The books that are on Wattpad haven't been edited, but will be in the future... so there are many grammar and spelling mistakes... and things that will be edited out and other things will be written in as it goes through the editing process... but that won't be happening until the first four books in WSI series are in stores.

Today I'm a mother of four, grandmother of one, who loves reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with my family. If I'm asked to describe myself, I always say, “I’m an independent, stubborn, mother who loves her family and friends.
